The Electronic Portfolio is a paperless solution that allows MAT students document their accomplishments by tracking activities (tied to instructional principles) and evidence (files tied to the activities) then compose a presentation for their final review. In place of a dissertation, this review is the final requirement for their degree and must reflect the students understanding and interpretation of the principles they have been taught.
Traditionally, the finalization of an MAT student's presentation involves a heavy dialog of feedback between the student and his/her professor(s). The Electronic Portfolio facilitates this two year long exchange by way of a built in feedback messaging system and a correspondence log. The feedback system allows a privacy controlled method for the student to flag specific areas of their portfolio and submit a request for feedback to their professors and/or peers.
no|inc's role in the redesign and redevelopment of the Electronic Portfolio was to create a user friendly interface, pioneer the messaging and feedback features, design portfolio presentation templates, and ensure compliance to Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
