The Department of Paleobiology at the National Museum of Natural History asked us to help them to create an online resource that would explain the concept of geological time and trace the physical history of the planet. Tall order but we felt up to the challenge...how often do you get to tell the history of the world (unless you’re Mel Brooks?).

Our original approach integrated both active and passive viewing modes (with voice-over provided by ER’s Noah Wylie). The final project wasn’t nearly as ambitious as our original plan, but it was just as effective.
